BittyBot offers three object sensors all based off the Sharp IS471F infra-red detector. The IS471F modulates an IR LED, picks up a reflection off of an object, filters out other signals, adjusts for ambient light levels, and produces a "low" digital output to say "Hey! I see something!".

The 2-Way and 3-Way object detectors offer a broader area of coverage, while the ProxDot's small size makes expanding your robot's awareness of it's surroundings easy.
